WHO ARE PSALT DESIGN?
From Brutalism to Bubble Tanks.
Psalt Design was formed by Tom McKeown, Richard Bell and David Powell after studying and graduating from Furniture and Product design at Sheffield Hallam University. The opportunity was available for a design studio to be formed in Sheffield, a city which we all have great admiration and affection for in terms of its industrial and creative history. Our aim was to start Psalt Design as a studio to develop our furniture and product collections and to also provide a basis for client and commission work.
Where does the name come from? Psalt...from Psalter Lane Campus where we first met, Sheffield's brutalist Art and Design College. Design...well, we really do love good design. We like the details, the finishing touches and the process. From working with local craftspeople and industry to maintaining quality in our products. When you get a product like Bubble Tank we want you to experience how much fun it was to design, make and package that product for you. That's why we do it. We're looking forward to getting started and to building great friendships with our customers, clients and fellow creatives. We invite you to come and join us!
